SCAVENGERS
oh scavengers, seated on thrones
while princes are begging for bread
this is the fall through the winter of our time
and you'll have no hat for your head
oh scavengers, donned in the robes
while princes wear rag pauper clothes
this is the last day for gathering treasure
where is your heart - oh, your home
oh scavengers, at rest in the beds
with princes asleep on the ground
you've left the place set for you at the table
and now there's no feast to be found
oh scavengers, the jester is crowned
while princes put hand to the plow
oh ring the lookout, the King He's returning
and judgement is near, it is now
come princes and princesses
oh shed your lot
for your Father, His Majesty
has tied the knot
round the neck of the scoundrels
who left you to rot
oh, come from the market
and come from the hillside
come running and dancing and weeping and laughing
there is no time left to mourn, alleluia
these garments of praise they are yours, alleluia
rings on your fingers and crowns on your brow
judgement has come, He is here, He has come
it is now
