Even though we know that when you believe in Jesus and you die, you're alive again in heaven, with Jesus.

Even though we know when you die and go to heaven you will no longer suffer the pains and troubles that earth gave... even though... it is still sad when we do lose someone precious.

Tonight, we are mourning the loss of Reverend R. E. West.

He was my husband's minister for several years before we met, his parents' also. He was especially close to my heart as he was the minister that led me out of the Mormon church, as well as the minister that married my husband and I.

Reverend West's father was a minister as well. He married my husband's parents. My husbands' family and Reverend West's family were very closely tied for many, many, many years.

If you stop by today, take a moment and pray for his devoted wife, Deborah, two daughters, one son-in-law and two grandchildren.

He was a nice man with a broad smile and a larger than life personality. He loved the Lord. Isn't that enough said?

His mother is there, his father is there. He has a brother there also. A sweet family reunion is taking place tonight.

We love you Rev. West. May you enjoy your riches in heaven.
